With a correctly manufacutred adapter there should be no problem to use any of those lenses on a 5D. It doesn't matter if you use a German or a Canadian model.
The later versions (with the installed lens hood) are much better than the older ones. It gets better at controling flare and reflections but also they seem to give some of the contrast of the former incantation. The newer ones are different in the quality of the coating. I have 3 of them : One for the original Leicaflex and two others from the 80s and 90s. I have seen great photos in here that were taken with version 1 which is the least expensive, so maybe for use in a digital body there is no real diference?
Does anybody know if there is a "better" version, 1cam 2.3.ROM.
